WW - Vacheron & Constantin demi-hunter wristwatch retailed by J.E. Caldwell & Co. of Philadelphia, manual wind, 24mm x 42mm to lug tips, 19mm lug width, original 18K gold hinged back case with spring loaded demi-hunter front, engraved details on sides as well as a monogram on back, brown leather strap, refinished silvered dial with original black enamel Arabic numerals and minute track, 15J, case s#256256, mvt s#411579. Includes an extract from the Archives from Vacheron & Constantin detailing that it was sold in 1929. Gross weight of assembled watch without strap 19.7 dwt (30.6 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: NR, mainspring broken, may require additional repairs beyond that, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, very light oxide to steelwork, light tarnish to main plate; refinished dial with light surface spotting as well as light fine scratches; fine gold hands; polished case shows light wear, several light dings on back and sides; period crown shows very little wear; good glass inner crystal, missing demi-hunter crystal.
